Hello Delboy,
The lens is a '7Artisans 12mm f/2.8' (cheapish Chinese effort from eBay). It is a completely manual lens so the aperture and focus have to be set before pressing the shutter. As there are no electrical contacts between the lens and the camera, it has no way of knowing what the settings were. I originally bought it for night sky photography and star trails as I merely need to turn the focus ring to infinity and know that the stars will be in focus.
