These are some of the thujas and box plants that my wife enjoys topiaring (is that a word?) Anyway, it gives the garden a formal look to this part of it. We're a bit restricted on what will grow here because of the high clay content of our soil. We have wide cracks appearing on the surface of the soil that is as hard as a rock when dry and as heavy as lead when wet!
