This is Kora, my latest rescue. She started her trip in Independence, MO and with all the various legs of her trip, she ended up in Phoenix, AZ. I was only no. 12 in 13 different legs for this very wonderful girl. I couldn't get her to sit still after our drive and she is a typical teenager, can't stand/sit still. My cell shots were all that I could manage. She was an angel while in the car but out, a different girl all together.
Am at sea re 'no 12 in 13 different legs'. Is this for long haul movement of animals etc. whereby they can recover before the next leg of their journey?
@deborah63 I am not sure if she has a perm home yet, the shelter that she went to is dedicated to Akita's. I would be rather frigidity too after all the crate time she had over the weekend. Don't like to use the crate but it is safer for both me and the dogs. My leg of the rescues are about 2.5 hours long, tough on the dogs.
@365projectorgjenfurj I agree, I was walking when I figured out how best to post the shots that I was able to get. Since I didn't know how well she was trained, I opted for fast cell phone shots.
@s4sayer It is very tough on these dogs but I love being part of this team to helps them to a new home or the best therapy shelter for them. There was deaf boxer that was transported recently, I was unable to help due to 14 inches of snow but she made it to the specific shelter for help.
@la_photographic@stephanies Thank you so much, being part of her new path means a great deal to me. We don't have any dogs in our family at present so I get my dog fix this way.
