Into Red Mountain

This is a most magical place.I can always find a moment of Zen here which for me is utter silence. The trail goes from high desert scrub and then into the remains of an old cinder cone. The dark shapes on the stones remind me of Star Wars. ( http://www.americansouthwest.net/arizona/red-mountain/)
What an amazing place, I really enjoyed reading about it on the link. Makes me want to walk the trail and I would end up taking 100s of pictures.

@stephanies I really like the different sections that are here. It is one of our favorites.

@megpicatilly Thank you kindly for the fav. This hike is one of the shorter ones around here but long enough.

@gerry13 I am very grateful that I have so many hiking areas around here. I was really trying to get the shapes on the rock so I can't take any claim to the flares but was very excited to see them.

@amandalockie Thank you so much, my poor husband just waits while I do my Artiste thing.

@eudora Thank you so very much for the fav. The flares weren't planned but boy was I happy that they were kind enough to be there.
