Only had to go to 3 friggin stores this morning to find T-Paper! Finally found it at FoodMax and they did not put a limit on the quantity I could purchase. And while standing in the line that snaked from the front of the store to the back the sound-system was playing "Just Another Manic Monday" LOL. Has everyone gone mad?
I literally have 3 rolls in my cupboard. I have a grocery delivery coming tomorrow courtesy of Tesco so hopefully he will bring more. If not we may be down to rationing .... square by square
Isn’t it unreal? I truly have never seen anything like it. My best guess is everyone is stocking up for self quarantine for 2 weeks. But they have stocked up on toilet paper for 6 months.
i don't get it with the toilet paper? i could understand the sanitizer or the masks or the facial tissues. but the alcohol bottles are a-plenty in the shelves. but that said, a couple in british columbia was in the news about them cleaning up the shelves at costco of lysol wipes. the 6-pack sells for $20 canadian and they're selling it on amazon for $75. with trump's announcement, they upped the price to $89. they said that they have made $30,000 so far from their venture. of course there was an uproar and amazon has suspended their accounts. price gouging is not illegal in canada but i doubt they can unload the rest of their inventory now that people are on to them. the reporter said that they seemed to be very proud of their business venture and no guilt whatsoever. i still don't get it with the toilet paper though.
Shelves are empty in my neck of the woods in Kansas. No sanitizer or TP on the shelf in multiple stores. Heard Sam's in KC was so busy this morning it looked like Black Friday.
Oh well done. Our stores are empty of toilet rolls, tissues, paper napkins, kitchen roll, hand sanitizer and now pasta and rice are scarce too. The world is going mad.
Think the stores around here are also running out of TP and the cleaning supplies. This is worse then when we get the hurricanes coming through and everybody goes out and buys up all of the water.
I couldn't even find hot dogs (the 3 year old's go-to snack) and did get the last package of TP. No bottled water either - granddaughter's necessity of life. Got gas at Sam's yesterday and you'd think it was Black Friday -not a parking space to be found and long lines at the pumps. Ridiculous! This is definitely a picture of the times ;)
that toilet paper sounds amazing, one should not be needing too much at a time! so far all i cannot find here is hand sanitizer. just wishing that all family and friends stay healthy during this madness.
