It's a glorious day today, with the sun shining and a definite hint of spring in the air. We headed out at lunchtime along the towpath up to Bait's Bite Lock and it was teeming with walkers, runners and rowers (well teeming may be over doing it but there were two or three rowing crews out!). I do this walk quite often in foul weather because the path is reliable and somehow the river is always beautiful no matter what the weather is doing - and on occasions it's been truly hideous - but it was a real joy to do it today. I've been trying to decide which photo to go for but I've plumped for this one because it only needed straightening slightly and it is quitessential Cambridge countryside - flat, big skies, water, trees. The village in the distance is Fen Ditton.
I love the photo!
