Spotted this chap on a walk in Cambourne. It has a little hill from where you can see miles of flat Cambridgeshire countryside. After 7 months I thought I could live dangerously and add a quotation (from WH Davies). It's trickier than it looks finding somewhere to put it!
That's a great photo, and I love the quote and the font too, but I'm one of those people who doesn't like any text (not even watermarks) on photos. That said, I love your processing, the mood, the composition. Hope you don't think I'm a meanie! :-) If I ever put text on a photo, please call me out on it!
A fave Judith, I love this photo & the writing is in just the right place!! Unlike Trina I like text on drawings ,paintings & photos if they are meaningful which this is ! You just caught him perfectly in a very interesting pose !

Thanks for the great response - and as I said to Trina - I think some people are brilliant with quotes on pictures and sometimes they just annoy me but this pic was shouting at me for one.
nice lead in line to the subject judith :) , is that because you've been doing your photography course or are you now doing it on 'auto pilot' :).... very atmospheric shot (with or without the words)
I think you've got the whole package in this shot, great capture, quote,font and position of the witing come together just nicely. (I am not normally keen on writing on photos)
A nice dedication to the old poet a much luved poem so simple yet so real for today..especially when he was a tramp and lived in doss houses his old ghost will be very pleased his name lives on...
I missed this shot lastnight. It's a beautyJudith and yes, I know what you mean about where to put the text. It can be quite a challenge but you've made an excellent choice in my opinion.
this is really gorgeous - the processing, and the quote all work beautifully - I'm sure this must be one of the most attractive pictures of Cambourne ever taken - I think you should talk to their marketing dept, if they have such a thing, about getting it on their website.
