I bet this was hard to photograph Judith. The warm gentle lighting and reflections make a lovely image. Your camera and the (photographer) coped well with the scene.
@phil_howcroft It certainly was & I'm disappointed by the focus but long lens, low light, hand held camera, moving lanterns was a disastrous focussing combo!
Wow, I am sooo jealous. In the village I live in (so glad I;m not FROM here!), they CELEBRATE VJ day..Victory over Japan. It appalls me every year. This is so not a thing to celebrate.
Lovely colour, reflections and contrasts, well, it's all lovely really. It's a little sad that a scene so beautiful is linked to a haunting, horrific event of devastation. I'm glad that the remembrances do shine on in another mental place.
