What can I say...England.... I love it.
I desperately wanted to stop in one of the villages, which were all outcompeting each other in loveliness and bunting, to take a shot of a brilliant bent over 'Queen' creation with a golden pooper scooper and a sign saying 'Royal Scoop' but we were travelling in convoy to the pub and I didn't want to miss my lunch (which was gorgeous).
I had a 3 hour car journey from Skegness to Manchester today, I made it a 4 hour trip and went through the peak district on all the a&b roads just so I could see views like this, beautiful! And lovely weather too! Stunning pic.
I went down to Yorkshire this weekend and enjoyed the rolling hills we saw on the way there and back that are reminicient of these hills, lovely scene!
I'm with @fueast on wanting to belt out Jerusalem, though I'll go with the Parry version which is now stuck in my head. This picture reminds me of the trip Hank and I went on last year. England is stunningly gorgeous. Must go back.
Sounded like a great "missed" shot, such is life. Lunch compensated by the sounds of it!
'Loveliness and bunting' is my favourite phrase of the week. :)
