I'd forgotten that I took a couple of quick shots when I was going to Adam's School for the Sixth Form Open Evening on Tuesday. When I looked at the upload I decided it had come out well enough and critically it isn't brown or orange. The school colours are purple and they take it seriously. Sadly you can't see the pretty patterns cast on the roof of the entrance. Adam's friend is on the right waiting for his mum - I had to track down my own offspring. It's a very busy time for teenagers - exams getting ever closer and coursework to get on with, increasingly serious sporting commitments, applications for the next step in education, decisions about where they are going to go with their lives. I'm hoping some light will be shed on those issues!
Three good things:
1. A very entertaining walk with Rebecca hearing about the decisions you have to make at awards ceremonies - what to wear, what to say in your speech, how to get away from the interviews in time for canapes (you can't).
2. The cat looking much more like her old self.
3. Cooking with wine - it would be wasteful not to have a glass...
oi whats wrong with brown and orange photos? I seem to have a glut of them... Looks like a cross between a school and a posh night club. Poor students. No idea why we give them so much work. It only has to be marked...
I love your third goody!!! I am back on the G&T tonight so things are looking up. Super shot of Adams school, love the brightness & the black night. Glad you posted this....too good to waste!
The big decisions in life these days be it about the future education or awards to be won & all that goes with that...it never ends even in retirement!!
Light captured well - I'm not good at night shots. I'm glad all those decisions are behind me now, but Pat's right, they don't stop when you hit retirement.
@sparkle Chilli game hotspot from Leon. Delish but pretty hot with half the chilli and a disaster on the Adam front. Think Nigel will enjoy it post karate though.
@happypat It's a healthy fast food chain in London. I doubt I could have got their kids' meals past ours though (chicken strips, brown rice and peas). Quite a few Thai dishes and odd things...
@jgpittenger They aren't normally there that late - they all stayed on after school finishes at 4pm to 'do homework' or more likely wander down to Subway. Actually Adam always stays till nearer 6pm doing homework (honest gov), sport or art - it means that the bus journey home is a lot quicker.
