Not exactly. What we'd call up North 'a bit of a poor do'. Last time King's was illuminated for the 800th anniversary of the University it was all Quentin Blake and Einstein. Tonight's much advertised Music Festival event was a few spots and the sort of 'music' they place at art installations. Ah well - you can't win them all and I love walking round town in the dark so it wasn't a total disaster. My shoulder is playing up big time and I've got another horrible headache and will be retreating to a hot bath ASAP - good news is it's Saturday tomorrow so loads of time for commenting :0)
Three good things:
1. Gin, tonic and paracetomol.
2. Fantastic new optician - Adam absolutely delighted with new lenses set to transform his hockey game now that he can see the ball.
3. The accountant says they can manage without my amazing hieroglyphic fuel bills.
@fueast It would have taken several no 1's before it got exciting. The best bit was a lovely collie passed out on the pavement waiting for it's owners. It had the right idea.
A wonderful night time shot ,we will be over at Helens for Christmas Hope the collage will still have the lights. Sorry to hear your not feeling too good, have a nice restful weekend.
I love it. What's that effect in the sky - like stripes but only just visible? I like the dog story - I've seen it before when they just get fed up of waiting.
Like the composition and light, so much going on there, am on my second day with persistent headache, mine brings it's friend naeck pain along too.....argghhhh....will have to add the g and t to the remedy list! Hope you feel better, Wonderful about the optician and the accountant!!!! Am loving your narratives!!!
I don't know why but I think this has a bit of eastern promise about it, must be the turrets & steeples!!! Plus you have contre jour in the left hand side your requisite bicycle ,sparkly bits & movement.....I just love it !!!
Hope by today you are feeling much better, the head part anyway, the shoulder still sounds more long term. Will make such a difference to Adam...so pleased for him.
What an amazing, magical night shot! I love this! And I love all of the activity taking place on the street...very vibrant.
Hate that you have that shoulder pain and migraine to deal with, Judith. You are such a trooper to take it all in stride and keep on keeping on. But I know how wearing pain can be. Hugs to you ~
