A very quick upload I'm afraid. I've been running round today trying to catch up with myself (and failing) post long weekend and decadent day in London yesterday. I've still things to do and I'm zonked - I'm off to help mum and dad downsize tomorrow so that will be another busy day - so I'll have lots of lovely pics to catch up on on Friday!
Anyway - a wrong turn yesterday took us to the Crimea memorial - nice to see a woman on a plinth. In fact nice to see somebody on a plinth who's claim to fame wasn't fighting...
Three good things:
1. Nurses
2. Blue sky
3. My photos inside Victoria's Secrets which led to a classic comment from Adam, 'But you're not allowed to take photos in there - we got thrown out for it - oh - maybe it was because we're boys...'
Victoria's Secrets is an underwear shop isn't it ...what was Adam doing with a camera in there !!! LOL ! A bit of a busty pun Judith but good luck tomorrow you will need it!!!
Lovely silhouette of Florence!!!
Great shot, Judith. I was in DC Monday, looking at statue after statue of military types on horses. I believe every park has a general on a rearing horse. Who remembers their names now? Yet we all remember Florence and her lamp! There must be a lesson there.
Judith I love your line " nice to see somebody on a plinth who's claim to fame wasn't fighting...".....gr8 contrast between sky, lady and building ....is it PC to say i look forward to the victoria secrets picture ???
Fabulous composition with an intriguing contrasts between the marvelous silhouette, the stately structure in the background and the beautiful blue sky. Love Adam's Victoria's Secret observation/revelation. :)
Love your little spelling error even if you did remove it!!! Lol to Adams comment, I went into Victoria's secret with vicki in Dubai...first one I've been in!!
Lovely silhouette against that blue (!!) sky. I've never actually been in a Victoria's Secret. I doubt they do the types of sturdy matronly numbers I'm currently rocking.
Lovely silhouette of Florence!!!
