A lovely day in London celebrating a significant birthday with my sister (a little late but we were snowed off for the big day in January - in fact she was completely snowed in). We couldn't afford Louis Vuitton so it's a good job that neither of our hearts leap at the sight of shoes like these - something comfortable to walk the dog and I get excited... I did run to a Big Issue from the seller on the pavement outside though...
Three good things:
1. Having a big sister.
2. Tea in Fortnum and Mason.
3. The sun shone and if the icy wind had just dropped we would have felt almost warm.
Where would you wear those sort of shoes I wonder...not it my sort of life but I dare say I wouldn't have said that in my youth!!!!
Sounds like you had a lovely day & great weather for sauntering around London with a big sister!!
@happypat@jantan ALTHOUGH - just thinking not a bad height compared with so many of the shoes that you couldn't actually wear even if you wanted. Not much good for sorting out the hens though (and we've got rats :0((( )
The only person I could imagine looking good in those shoes would be Audrey Hepburn. It's a fun/funny display, though! Good work keeping the glare off the glass.
@cookie123 Oh, they don't do price tags in here. If you need to ask the price you can't afford them! Nice bit of window dressing but I don't think I could walk in those shoes anyway.
Great reaction to a fun window display and a pair of pointy shoes!! Just sings spring somehow!! Those days of pointy shoes are long gone, thank goodness..........sounds like a fun day for you both, love the odd visit to F and M.................morning coffee is good too!!
Love the yellow and all the pattern is wonderful. I may be the strange one here but I like them. lol I would never be able to afford them or look good wearing them though. Nice image!
i quite like those shoes .....we always seem to be looking in shoe shop windows as Jane doesn't have her "wedding shoes" yet...or a "wedding handbag"...although she has her outfit and hat (fascinator) ...oh err your shoes have sent me into a random information overload post !!!!
Sounds like you had a lovely day & great weather for sauntering around London with a big sister!!
Fun shot - fun text.
