I took my car out to be serviced first thing so threw Monty in the back and walked him home. A bit of a shock to his system as he quite often is still snoring at 10 am. Anyway I knew he'd have forgotten that he'd had a walk by the evening and I persuaded Nigel to join us for an evening stroll to Jesus Green. All was quiet on the home front - I knocked up some rather nice fairy cakes as a delaying tactic for cleaning the house and then 'the phone call' from Ofsted came through at the school I'm a governor at and I had to swing into inspection mode - only a very small part compared with the staff but I don't want to let them down as they do such good work.
Three good things:
1. A quite delightful surprise gift delivered!
2. Warm sunny evenings
3. A calm start to the day
What a very special seat, bathed in sunlight. I once got into trouble for using the phrase 'knocked up'. Apparently it has a different meaning in some countries! Hope the Ofsted goes well.
The evenings are particularly delightful in this warm weather & you have a perfect place to sit & chew over the day!! Your day sounds very varied...am always amazed what we women get through in a day ...how many 'hats' do we put on in 24 hours?
A present...sounds lovely !!
This is lovely. And I thought that our dog was the only one with teenage tendencies - she always has to be turfed out for a wee in the morning, and often wouldn't ask to be let out til after midday otherwise.
I would add to your good things - the amount of notice we now get for Ofsted is now so short so less time to obsess/stress. I am a governor too and our inspection was in February - I feel for you! Like the photo too.
A present...sounds lovely !!
