Otherwise entitled, 'MUM, MUM, I'M ON THE GROUND MUM!!!' Mum was nearby and sprung into action as soon as we moved on - which we did swiftly. Apologies at the moment for erratic commenting - there seems to be quite a bit to do before we go away. I thought last night that I had ironed every item in the house but apparently not...
Three GT:
1. Survived my first drive with Rachel but she says she isn't ever going to drive me again - all I said was 'Mind the kerb' and 'Slow down' (once). My mum used to specialise in the 'grab the seat and inhale sharply' technique....
2. Lots of punt tours to keep Rachel out of trouble.
3. Adam doing his first shift as a waiter - hopefully he will still be employed after it!
Love the curler look, very sweet !! A nervous time for mums as the babies leave the nest!
Lydia has her first lesson on the 30th ..I absolutely hated taking my kids for practice driving & would be even worse on these roads now.
Never mind the comments....we all have our days when we are too busy & you have to put the important things first!!
Lovely shot of the little blackbird - I remember the feeling of driving with the kids and I'm so glad they now have a lot of experience and in fact my son drives for a living. I had a lot of white knuckle rides years ago so I sympathise!!
Aw poor little fella, fledging is a tricky business. Judith Dolittle!!! LOL. Have a fantastic holiday, Florence is where we spent our honeymoon, would love to go back. Enjoy yourself x
Aww such a cute shot, I think you are very brave going out in the car, the traffic is much busy now compared when I went with Richard., when he was learning to drive.
Lovely close-up little bird amongst the leaves. I used to hate taking my children out when they were learning to drive - I could never have been a driving instructor.
This chick looks old enough hopefully to survive! You are on the Road to Florence? Wow! Santa Maria del Fiore here you come! Adam will be fine - he's been well brought up!
What a face!! Love the 'do. Good catch. I survived my children learning to drive by hanging on to the door handle, too @tishpics. Done surreptitiously so they couldn't see me squeezing.
A dear shot which made me smile. 1. is about the most nerve wracking thing a mum has to do with her children I think. I remember being in the passenger seat with Neil when he shot off a roundabout in front of somebody. I hadn't had time to open my mouth when he said 'Sorry, I shouldn't have done that'. Small consolation!
