I got birthday permission! Rachel on her 5th birthday - 14 years ago today. She is standing by her Dennis the Menace bicycle and tells me that she saved her Batman outfit for an Easter event at school when everybody else was dressed as a bunny. Her friends have arrived with a fantastic "Turtle' birthday cake (long story) and we are hanging on till dusk before BBQing so that those observing Ramadan can break fast (those with less willpower are already attacking the nibbles...) Just hope the thunderstorm hangs on until half an hour after dusk.
Three good things:
1. Talented cake makers
2. A healthy Royal baby and a mum doing a great job in the face of hormones and fatigue
3. The most amazingly beautiful baby who is now 19 :0)
She was clearly herself from the beginning. I have to say I can see her mom in her sweet face. Happy Birthday Rachel...good luck on the storm holding off. Oh, and this is a fabulous shot
Brilliant - Happy Birthday Rachel. This has given me an idea for a similar shot in a few weeks time (but not necessarily with permission - hehe). Oh, that's if I can remember :)
Rachel has grown into a lovely contented, happy girl, individual to the core & so good for that Judith!!
