So finally I have extracted myself from the bathroom decorating and I'm back. I would have been back last night but for a very messy battle with the silicone bath sealant - oh but for the temptation to 'just touch it up and make it perfect'..... I was so grumpy afterwards and it will need to be sorted out at some point.
Three good things:
1. All you lovely people and I will be catching up with your pics ASAP.
2. I got the silicone sealant out of my favourite trousers well enough that you can't tell.
3. Only the grout 'refresh' to go.
Didn't you have an accident with your trousers before? Paint or something? You are sounding as clumsy as me!! Lovely to have you back. Don't worry about catching up, just go forth! Lovely shot of this flower entwined around this fence. Makes for a great composition.
@lucypics Yep - that was my favourite full length pair - I have been living in decorating clothes all week but completely forgot to change into them yesterday - anyway it was supposed to be a clean job! Nigel has just scrubbed a load off my arm and I had to apologise to the hairdresser this morning!!
You'll be fine Judith - just take your time! Lovely shot - I think the flowers of Old Mans Beard are just beautiful - so delicate both in shape and colour.
Lovely flowers -- gardens have a very calming effect. I've reached the point where I just can't deal with grout and sealants and that glue that sticks your fingers together.
What is it about Silicone Sealant that makes you want to retouch it when you know, absolutely know, it won't end well. Found a really good sealant tool (called a Fugi I think) that made the job really easy. I'm still waterproof though :). Love the flowers against the blue railings.
I love the iron fence inclusion! Makes the picture so beautiful! I think the positive attitude with No 2 is so good! You could easily have sworn at the wrong bits!
I am terrible at applying sealant. So I always have to go back over it which makes it worse. I watch the pros and I can't tell just what they do to make is so smooth the first go around. So I call a friend who does it REALLY well when I am desperate. I peel off the old and zzzzzip he is done in seconds. No do overs. It is terribly impressive.
Sounds like lots of work but I'm glad your trousers survived (mine weren't so lucky when I cleaned the refrigerator with really aggressive cleaning stuff). What a beautiful composition!
