A quick shot on my little P&S today - I located it again recently and it's a bit easier to carry around while shopping. This bike is in Rose Crescent very near the Jo Malone shop which parted me from my money this afternoon. I'm trying out a new fragrance - Vanilla and Anise (I'm normally a Red Roses girl) so I bought the smallest bottle though I've realised that it's actually a lot more cost effective to buy a larger volume. Rachel's favourite is in a fancy bottle so I can see why that would cost a lot but the Jo Malone ones are quite simple.
Three GT:
1. Rachel passed her driving test and I didn't even know she was taking it!
2. The insurance people have charged hardly anything extra for her new status (one of my nephew's friends was quoted £26,000 for insurance when he passed his test!) - making me feel that they put rather a small price on the guidance and experience I had to offer!
3. My lovely nephew Louis has got into his top choice university/course - hurrah!
Lovely and very 'Judithesque' shot. Love your 3 good things. Congrats to Rachel for passing her test...how on earth did she not know she was taking it? Congrats to your nephew too xx
@psychographer She knew - she just told me she was going out for a normal lesson. She didn't want anybody making her nervous - I'm only nervous now she's passed and is hitting the road!
@judithg Hitting the road is fine...hitting other cars and old ladies not so much ;o) I know exactly what you mean though, I was just the same when Gemma first went out on her own xx
Great news all round and a perfect basket case to o with it. Are these flowers growing around the basket or is it a plant within the basket? Lovely Judithaboutcambridge shot c
Beautifully planned photo Judith & a perfect accessory to a Jo Malone shop...I have some of her perfume can't remember off hand but it's a number 1571 or similar! I always sniff her stuff but can never find one I really go for.
Exam results mixed Jack just missed out on one A so has not at this moment got into his first choice uni so doesn't quite know what to do yet. Lydia on course for her ABB next year.
Clever Rachel & crafty not saying until she passed!
What a picturesque shot :). Congratulations to Rachel - can't blame her for not telling, I told everyone and failed the first time... What about the A and AS-level results?
@lucypics They are trailing petunias in a hanging basket above I think. I tried taking the Occitane basket with flowers inside but I needed to rearrange them!
@judithg hahaha I saw that yellow bike with lavender plus bee on Monday, very tempted but thought the same. Did you trail this petunia into the basket?
@lucypics I'm on it. Saw a man cycling with masses of real flowers in his basket last week - couldn't believe I didn't have my camera ready - nearly cried!!!
@happypat He should get an emergency remark - my neighbour got one and it moved her from a B to an A and the university had to honour their offer. Louis is disappointed with one of his grades but the university still offered him a place so tell Jack not to despair yet!
wonderful shot. love the basket and morning glories. the play on words is very creative in your title. congrats on having a new teen on the road! girls tend to be less than boys at this age i do believe!
This is a beautiful clear and bright shot! There is only one person in my town that has a basket on her bike and it is a genuinely old one! She had it stolen recently! I have panniers on mine - flowers would not be the same!
@phil_howcroft No and she won't be getting one either! No room on our drive....on the other hand if you asked, 'Has Nigel lost his car now?' the answer would be,'Quite possibly!'
I can safely report....that all is well and never do i want to go through such mind bending kitchen table talking over the what if's of the A-level results as the day drew nearer..ever again i do not know which was worse this or the birth of the tiny one, anyway...Three...B's...and a place at Nottingham..reading Bio Chemistry....Phew.....and as ever nice shot...
@tsingtao Nightmare time - LOTS of Chardonnay required! All the best people do Biochemistry (I did!!) Very interesting subject & I went on to do some cool medical research - good choice!
Nice bikey floweriness. I do like Jo Malone. I've been lime-basil-and-mandarin recently. Never bought for myself though - that would feel amazingly grown-up. Do you still get all the unnecessary ribbons and scented tissue paper and blah?

Well done Rachel!
Congratulations to Rachel! And to your nephew as well! Very good things in your family on this day. :)
