A fab day yesterday starting with the early arrivers (@sparkle, @happypat, @dh and @boxplayer) at Euston (and ending with them as something mysterious happened on London Bridge and we lost half of our merry band). I haven't worked out yet whether @padlock knew it was London Fashion week at Somerset House or not but if he did know he could have warned us so that I didn't turn up wearing Adam's pac a mac ;0). I was most definitely dog-walk rather than catwalk. However we were a cheerful crew meandering through London with a mixture of architecture and people shots to keep us busy. Returned via Finsbury Park to avoid the King's Cross engineering works only to discover that I'd just missed the hourly train - no matter it gave me chance to tell an old boy who'd settled beside me after two and a half hours travelling across the city from his son's house that he'd been directed to the Baldock train and not the one he needed to Barking.
Four good things:
1. Re-meeting 365 friends
2. Meeting people I've followed for nearly three year for the first time
3. Meeting new people and starting to follow them
4. @padlock for organising and the London folk for helping with route planning
Great shot glad you enjoyed it. Baldock and Barking oh dear is all I can say. There will be another one I am sure just don't know when. I had no idea re the Fashion Week and my heart missed a beat when I saw the free for all at the Strand entrance. Anyway ended nearly well not sure how we got split will blame Pete and his angles on the bridge!!
@padlock Just noticed from the poster in this pic that the 'big' event is next weekend so it could have been worse - it's probably closed then!! It was great fun being there yesterday though.
I like that you got the fashion sign in there too Judith....she was very severe looking but knocked spots off our photography outfits!!
I thought of you eating your Thai food while I was eating my Blue Riband on the rain!! Lovely to see you again Judith!
She doesn't look very happy to be there, does she? At least we were comfy in our less than high fashion outfits. Great day - I really enjoyed meeting you all, but must admit I still feel exhausted today!
That is a real 'fashion or die' expression on her face! Whatever happened to fashion being fun (apart from to us observers!) well done for getting her next to the poster - I didn't even notice it. (Like the 'more dog walk than catwalk' comment - describes my natural state!)
Definitely a fashionista. I was going to say I love her hat but now I realize it's her hair. I think her expression is just right. Too bad about the train! And the poor old gent.
Great shot. I love the slightly hostile, arrogant and rather disinterested expression on the model's face. I studied fashion at college in the distant past and was called upon to model on occasion but always looked uncool by smiling!
