I got together with one of my book groups for a 'birthday walk' (mine - belated) on Thursday. We had to find a walk without a river as there has been a lot of rain and WIlma here is rather partial to a dip - not terribly safe when the rivers are swollen. This is my neighbour who slowed down on request so that I could get her in the photo. On the whole with this group I have to be quick with the camera or I spend my time running to catch up. Many of the generally good paths had been badly churned up by a tractor and it was mud central - a bit of a pain as this is usually a good route in the 'wet season'.
Three GT:
1. My neighbour has offered to feed the hens when we go away in the new year.
2. She is very reliable.
3. The greasy spoon in the village was closed so we had to go upmarket in the next village - my first mince pie of the season and homemade.
PS Wilma's owner is just heading out of sight in this shot but Wilma wants to make sure the rest of us are keeping up!
I always think the hen minders are quite keen as they get the perks of the eggs!! You look very well equipped for walking ....looks like you are going to be out all day!!! I will miss my monthly walk on Monday as I am taking Les to the airport......
Wilma is a rather endearing name for a dog...reminds me of the Flintstones!!
Wonderful composition, Judith. Love the watchful look and slight head cock from Wilma. :)
I wish I had friends with hens that needed tending. In my mind I see myself with a basket of super fresh eggs...
This v nearly made me teary for our old dog, taz, a wonky-eared mongrel with a lot of collie in her, trying to herd her dawdling humans on a sunny autumn walk. Oh ffs, now I *have* made myself teary!
