Miaow! by judithg

Miaow!

Rafiki has rescued me from another filler today. I was taking a few desperate pics of slightly blowy branches in the way back from closing up the hens and she saw fit to engage me in conversation. If you're wondering, she is saying, 'Would you mind awfully getting out some Whiskas treats for me?'
Unfortunately the light was rubbish as usual and it should be sharper but today I am a beggar and cannot be a chooser.
3GT:
1. Fab response to yesterday's photo - lovely.
2. The calendars have come and the photo print quality has really improved this year - I'm pleased with them.
3. Fab lunch with the book club ladies - I may never need to eat again.
Super cat shot - her/his face is so sharp had you considered a really close crop?I was tempted by dancing leaves - so hard to photograph wind!

You can tell she is a pedigree cat by her stripes...the whiskers cat may look ordinary but the stripes have it!!
Foul weather but the flooding is worse....I would hate to live any nearer the sea than I am!
Hope we see a bit of the calenders!!

At first glance I thought this was a paper/cardboard Victorian mask. A marvelous Rafiki capture. I'm not at all sure what I'm seeing in the lower left corner of this shot, but it kind of looks like an orange hose dispensing wine into a wine glass. Guess that says something about my state of mind today. :)

Well she's either super enthusiastic or super mad! Cute though. Poppy is in the wars again after angering a part wolf dog... I despair.

Wow, what a greatly timed captuere and pov!

That look looks so familiar ;). Rafiki is such a beautiful cat and here you can see her tiger heritage ;)).

@happypat Ooh not pedigree - her father was a really rough old stray tomcat - one of two brothers who both 'abused' our beautiful silver and white tabby. All over the place as well- on the doorstep, under the car when all the school kids were going past - it was a nightmare! Saw a pic of Blackpool tower on the BBC - no seaside visits today - too dangerous!

wow - great head-on shot!

@peggysirk Hahaa - it's a watering can and some candle holders that I 'tidied' up by putting them outside - they are half full of rain water. There is quite a bit of clutter by the shed there since I moved everything for the big storm that didn't happen - quite handy for today though as it's been pretty windy!

@annemary I didn't want to crop out her whiskers - and anyway the focus was pretty rubbish!
December 5th, 2013
True - she does have very fine whiskers. Just envious of you having a photogenic cat. I wouldn't swop my Hodge but black cats are hard to photograph
December 5th, 2013
@annemary Yes terrible - Monty is bad enough being half black.
December 5th, 2013
You can see the wild-cat in her ancestry here! a magnificent image Judith - the music of Jaws is echoing . . .
December 5th, 2013
I think this is lovely - you are in the right place to get a balanced photo of her - mind you, she is balanced so well too!
December 5th, 2013
She looked quite angry in the thumbnail! Lovely plaintive look with her eyes looking beseechingly up at you! Lol about the 'tidied up' wine glass half full of wine! I want some of whatever Peggy is on! @peggysirk

I think she and Luna must have taken lessons from the same communication school! Fun shot
December 5th, 2013
This is in the "pleasing lack of definition" category - and none the worse for it! I really think it's terrific, you've caught that cat "attitude" perfectly.
December 5th, 2013
@fueast Wouldn't any dog anger a part wolf?
December 5th, 2013
Get those teeth!
December 5th, 2013
Love the way you have given rafiki a posh accent. All cats have posh accents I think! She is a pretty cat and definitely engaging in conversation. Downloaded where d'you go Bernadette! think I am going to enjoy it.
December 5th, 2013
Well done, Rafiki! You must keep eating. It's soon to be Christmas!!!!
December 5th, 2013
As long as she in not complaining about having grass stuck in her palate!!! I wouldn't mind wine dispensed from hoses in the garden.
December 5th, 2013
Fab capture! :)
December 5th, 2013
@bpaquette You're not wrong there - I'm praying that grass is well and truly dead!
December 5th, 2013
Great Shot!
December 6th, 2013
Such a great happy kitty face. Great photo!
December 6th, 2013
@judithg Well actually they were friends before and were just playing nicely when a rampant retriever came along and started humping everybody which set things off. Oh dear
December 6th, 2013
She looks quite sweet considering you can see her fangs. I'm currently following the beggars can't be choosers plan atm too xx
December 6th, 2013
Like it. Everyone else has said it all!

I've been a beggar from the off! It's the way to go IMO - if all your pics are rubbish there's no worrying about failing to live up to past glories.
