We dropped by at @helenmoss's for a lovely social gathering this afternoon. I knew she would have photogenic decorations. I should have tried harder with the focus before I started on the mulled wine.
Apologies for two '35mm bleed' frames in a row.
Three GT:
1. Codeine for the dog - he's a new..er...dog.
2. Saw an experienced vet who's pretty certain it's a degenerative problem, impinging a disc rather than a tumour.
3. Board games - and then movies on demand...
Love your film reel look here Judith...very imaginative & so suits that narrow perspective! I always admire people who manage to go & gather berries & holly from the outdoors to decorate. I once had a nearish neighbour who strung holly leaves on a string like beads & hung them on her beams.....that is commitment!
Better news about Monty but will have put a damper on Christmas!!
When I see holly and bay all held together in tasteful gingham ribbon I feel a tad lazy, especially as we have holly with berries. New Years resolution sorted! Poor Monty, so he hadn't really improved since I saw you? Has he disc degeneration then? ( I speak from experience, mine!). Get well soon Monty old chap, Saski keen for a Gog trog soon x
@fueast@happypat@welshgirl@lucypics@rosiekind@tishpics yes they think disc degeneration. He's been in a lot of pain over Christmas and was very immobile. The codeine has really perked him up but of course the underlying problem is still there. The vet says it takes about 3 weeks for the anti-inflammatories to work and there's a 50-50 chance of them doing the trick. If they don't work it's an MRI and a neurosurgeon - thank goodness for insurance though the premiums could go mad. Apparently cocker spaniels are a vulnerable breed but the worst are Jack Russells!
@malc Will do! Glad we got the older vet who appreciated that more pain relief was required. Just hoping he doesn't do more damage now that he can't feel it.
it was lovely to see you and Nigel. I'm sorry the holly and bay in this decoration do look a bit dehydrated after hanging above the wood stove for a couple of weeks but your picture makes them look a lot perkier than in real life!
So glad to hear you got together at Helens. I do hope Monty makes a good recovery.I am all behind with 365 been busy over Christmas with family, now we have just got Beth with us for a few weeks
Such lovely colours in this decoration - wouldn't have needed the frame in my opinion. Oh boy, Monty's trouble sounds serious - give him a very tender hug from me, will you?
