is worth? Apologies for a shocker of a shot to start 2014. I have previously done something a bit fancy by way of a collage for the first day of the year but the weather was so hideous and town so empty and drab that it's a miracle I got anything. Nigel and I went in to town for new rucksacks (mine the camera variety), forgetting that all the shops would be shut. I also forgot my camera hence the grainy iPhone shot.
Anyway a very Happy 2014 one and all. Huge thanks for continuing to follow me this year even why my shots (and I) got rather weary.
Three good things:
1. Who would have thought I'd be ploughing into year 4 - and yet again with the resolution to actually take a shot every day and post it even if it's rubbish (well I've started with that!)
2. My friend Jill who has Monty tonight to see if he's OK - in which case we can all go away for a few days tomorrow. If not I will be doing a desperate kennel run so fingers crossed.
3. Monty much perkier - the extra painkillers are working well though I suspect that the underlying problem hasn't gone.
Well definitely one of yours ....bikes are just you! A very feminine looking bike ...love the curved frame & old brown leather seat.
Hope you can go off tomorrow!! Who would have thought year 4...me too on the 5th February!!
Reminds me of Pigeon Street back in the 80's... used to love watching that with my children! Bikes are you Judith, so this is an apt photo to kick off your 2014 project!
I like this, particularly the processing, and it is unmistakeably one of yours - which I am not sure I should have said, given that you don't think that it is very good, but I think it is!
Bike and nosy pigeon, lovely composition. Hope Monty's condition improves, some things just take time, especially disc or back problems. Fingers crossed x
happy new year judith...year 4....is it ok to call you a stalwart of 365 :)
I think so .....
stalwart
adjective: stalwart
loyal, reliable, and hard-working.
noun: stalwart;
plural noun: stalwarts
a loyal, reliable, and hard-working supporter of or participant in an organization or team.
I get my stalwart cap at the end of January, albeit with quite a few gaps
Happy New Year - and the start of year 4 for me too! I had rather a lot of gaps last year but hey....it's still a lovely record of life and so much inspiration and encouragement!
Love your photos whatever the weather!! You always make me feel I must get back to Cambridge again.... we've so enjoyed it on the two occasions we visited ...........it's a long way south but who knows!
Have a good year anyway!
So sad to hear Monty is still suffering. Not your best shot but hey. I have a lot of those too, I'm impressed with your starting year 4, how do you manage to have enough time?
Happy New Year! I'm all about the grainy iphone shot! And the posting-a-shot-from-every-day-even-if-its-total-rubbish! (Which I'm not saying this is, obvs). My 365 resolution for 2014 is to try and achieve some kind of modest aesthetic standard - my thumbnails have been getting uglier and uglier...
I think it's a wonderful shot to start the new year, without pretense and expectation...just rolling perfectly imperfectly in any circumstance with what we have! Love it! And so glad that we'll be traveling 365 - 'Year 4 '- together.
A very happy New Year to you and your wonderful family, Judith!
And extra good thoughts to Monty and his recovery!!
