I have discovered that without the need to walk the dog my photography is a disaster. Not only do I not get out and about but I don't remember the camera (wrong bag) when I do go. So a big fail for the end of the year which has allowed me to go back and find some of 'the ones that got away'. I have assumed that I take stacks of photos in the city but it has been decidedly hard to find shots for every month when I set myself the criteria of 'Cambridge City centre' and 'landscape'. In fact converting portrait shots to landscape is fun I found.
Well enough about my photo-woes - congratulations to all of you who have completed your first, second or third years. Onwards and upwards into 2014!
Three GT:
1. 1095 days completed - not filler free but no gaps.
2. More friends virtual and actual.
3. Lots to be thankful for from 2013.
Quite a wonderful collage; I'm so jealous of your proximity to Cambridge. I agree with you about the dog! (Tho right now it's too cold here to even take my gloves off when I do his morning walk.)
Happy New Year Judith. Love following you and looking forward to continuing to do so (and maybe meeting up again) next year. How is Monty doing now? Your photo with his sad eyes made me cry a bit.
Happy new year Judith - I've come to the inclusion that my year of shots is pretty much a year of dog walks so I sympathise. Hopefully Monty will be leading you on photo walks again soon
@barrowlane was saying he wanted to develop his own style, well you are one of those who have done just that Judith...I know these shots are different but you can pretty much tell your shots when they come up......love the Cambridge ones especially.
I do notice that dog walkers do get out in all weathers & get some beautiful outdoor shots...can't remember when I last went on a proper walk!!
A health kick from tomorrow onwards for me!!
Wishing Monty a speedy recovery.
@jantan Aww!! Actually he's made me quite emotional but he's much better with the new painkillers - will find out if the actual problem has improved on Monday. Would love to meet up again this year!
Monty still on gardening leave then? I am walking at the Gogs tomorrow whilst combining one of my taxi jobs (teenager to park and ride) I shall miss you there. Great collage of happy times in Cambridge, one shot I remember well. Happy new year Judith, definitely something good from 365 and 2013
Lovely montage - we drove home to London yesterday pondering on whether we might move out to Cambridge in a few years time. It is beautiful - there's not many places where you get (at least some of the) perks of a city with such green pleasantry all around. You do a good PR job for it, too.
Just popped in to wish you a belated Happy New Year, and huge congrats on completing year three, that really is something to be proud of. I so like what you have done here, all lovely shots and great as a collage, worth a place on your wall I think. I'm having a wee break but plan to be back soon!
Great pics! I used to live in CB too but now I am living on the opposite side of the world in NZ so I have decided to follow your page and see a bit of "home".
Am just starting my project so to see that you are on year 3 is a good incentive to get out with my camera every day!
@j44 Welcome! There will be lots more CB this year as when I was looking for these shots I found I had rather lost the impetus of taking city scenes and will be back at it for year 4.
