I just stuck my X-100 in my bag for Adam's hockey game thinking it would be nice to get some wider angled shots with unidentifiable boys that I could post. As it happened the cold weather meant that there was lots of steamy breath with a very strong backlight which would have been atmospheric if I'd had my zoom. Anyway - taking a not very good photo is a good excuse to ETSOOI. When we arrived home Monty jumped off the chair where he had illegally parked himself and I think he must have jarred his neck because we then embarked on a terrible saga of dog frozen in pain (standing stock still for two hours and quivering), a mercy dash to the vet to collect tablets, a brief panic that we'd mixed drugs we shouldn't have mixed, calls to the emergency vet, a very careful car journey 20 minutes up the motorway for a very expensive out of hours appointment and Monty arising like Lazarus from the dead as we pulled in to the car park. In normal circumstances I would have been ready to kill him but watching him in such a state had been so upsetting that Nigel and I were both elated. And the lovely vet only charged us the normal 'in hours' rate and was generally very nice indeed.
Three GT:
1. Much better play even if they could only get one of about a million shots on goal in to the net.
2. Reasonably mild weather - this time last year loads of matches were being cancelled.
3. Kind vets
I'm confused, I am sure this wasn't yesterday's shot. Am I going mad? This is great, love the long shadows, steamy exhalations and your edit. Poor Monty, so sorry for him :-(
Lovely sunlit boys & breath......those shadows are so vivid!
My daughter did that - after several hours of crying over an arm and refusing to move it, suddenly could move it when it had to be x-rayed
