Embrace your wrinkles

I made sure that Nigel didn't throw my dead roses out before I took a photo (not that he was likely to take that job upon himself!) I actually took this photo on top of one of Adam's black sketchbooks - it didn't seem this shiny! Although I blame the dog for the fact that I am limited to dog-friendly places to take photos I am failing to take any from outside the house now that he's not fit for walks. We did attempt a short walk with Rebecca but he wasn't up for it - I nearly had to call Nigel to carry him back down the road.
Three GT:
1. Value out of flowers even when they're dead.
2. While sitting with one of my readers in the school corridor I was approached by a very tall Roman. When I picked myself up off the floor we exchanged 'Salves'.
3. Parents' Evening last night - not sure what to think of being told by teachers that they love teaching my boy because he is 'hilarious'.
This looks like me!!! Dried up!!

Its still a great colour! What's wrong with having a hilarious son? Does he not share his jokes at the dinner table?

It's still beautiful!

Hahaha I had a similar parents evening where Eves chemistry teacher told us she was almost a delight to teach! This rosé, wrinkled though it may be, is beautiful (which brings hope). I hope Monty is recovering, perhaps you should try hydrotherapy?

@lucypics I'm wondering about some warm compresses - he's a bit scared of water. Poor Eve!! I'm sure she's a complete delight!

@judithg Oh no maths needs more jokes! I guess he gets his work done too otherwise they might have mentioned that

And on the subject of wrinkles, my dear youngest son when he was in his twenties and I in my fifties told me he loved my wrinkles! I notice he hasn't said that recently.

Lovely colour and texture!

lovely tones in this - I got into buying cheap flowers from Tesco so I could take pictures of the alive and dying - 10p bunches that gave me days of photographs (365 on Flickr) - in fact I bought some tulips yesterday to try some dof and high key shots for the challenges

Gorgeous! Wrinkles add interest and character to all things. :)
Poor Monty. I'm so far behind with commenting that I feel so out of touch. I would have thought Monty was well on his way to feeling like his old self. Poor guy is having a rough go of it.
I'm with Adam's teachers...I love smart kids with a wicked sense of humor. :)

Roses are one of those flowers that improves with age - the odours are lovely. Would acupuncture help? Our vet does it and a couple of friends have had their dogs treated for back pain with really good results

That rose is a beautiful colour. Its probably better if Adam were hilarious outside of the classroom.
