Note to self...

Get out more! Relying on the garden again today and I left it late so ended up with a horribly grainy shot. This is damson blossom and is the first blossom of the season to appear in our garden. It has gone mad this year so there will be tons of damsons - I don't like them so good news for the birds. We went out to see 'The Monuments Men' last night (well the night of the 23rd!) hence the lack of commenting. It was fun - nice actors, interesting story, a few attempts to reference the great war film classics - but it won't trouble the awards ceremonies....
I really like the background colours here! Was thinking about seeing that movie as it sounded interesting. Might give it a pass though, we don't have time to go the movies anyways.

I saw some similar to this - perhaps it was this? - on our dog walk this morning. Really pretty, I like this shot. I quite fancied seeing that film as I remember they filmed some of it at Duxford but I saw several not so great reviews and was a bit put off it.

@lindsaydaisyboo Ooh I remember that now - drat - will have to watch it again - there were a few aeroplane scenes so I'm guessing... As @june says, 'Good enough' - not a waste of money and not depressing or harrowing as several of our recent choices have been! My 'critique' would be that they seemed to want to make a light-hearted, heading towards funny film but the subject matter didn't always allow it so every so often there was conflict - the sad bits were properly sad (and I will cry at ANYthing) and it didn't quite build up into a comedy. But still not a waste of money and I learnt a lot.

Lovely shot. We used to have damson trees in our garden when I was a child and my mum used to make damson pies and they were yummy!

I made a damson chutney a year or two back and it was passable, but I like the idea of damson gin more.

This is pretty. I keep seeing blossom everywhere all of a sudden - noticed all the may was out this weekend.
