The age of steam

Well Nigel and I took Monty into town bright and early this morning mostly because he's got jet lag (Nigel not Monty) which would have been fine except that the shops we needed to nip in to were all closed. So that meant we needed to sit outside Costa and drink flat whites until Waterstones opened. By the time we headed back home it was raining and the day got progressively worse. At this point we were dashing along trying to decide whether to call Rachel to pick us up but obviously I couldn't resist a quick iPhone photo when his little steam thing came past. It's quite a frequent visitor to town and was soon overtaken by a girl on a bike.
Three GT
1. Rachel did come and rescue us half way home as the rain got out of hand and Monty kept stopping and giving us filthy looks.
2. I have done a massive amount of ironing - ta dah!
3. Lasagne for tea.
Great detail.

Still lovely in the rain......like Hazel I notice you get so much in your picture........is it the lens Judith or just that there's lots to see?
Lovely little steam thing.....it looks very quaint. A few umbrellas but one guy knows it's summer! Flat whites...you sound all kiwi!

I've never seen this engine but now at least I have seen it through your eyes :). Lasagne for tea after so much ironing sounds perfect. And it sounds like you had the same torrential rain we did - crazy ;).

Not quite what I'd have expected to see on Trinity Street. Weather's been a pain - not what was forecasted on my BBC weather app!
