Know your onions

I've bee eyeing up the hover flies in the onion flowers for a few evenings now. No chance to take photos till tonight so I decided their time had come.
Three GT:
1. A nice walk with Rebecca & Gloria who put up with me being tired and grumpy (I think we need blackout curtains)
2. A beautiful day for the school fete
3. Potentially successful governor recruitment

Hello!! Thanks for your message, hope all is well! Lovely photo - I like these flies, they're quiet nosy, had one in Leeds that would always hover just in front of my face when in the garden.
