Baling out by judithg

Baling out

Thunderstorms and heavy rain last night left a very hot, muggy morning with some intimidating grey skies. I was home alone last night and was momentarily perturbed to hear heavy breathing coming up the stairs. Luckily it was just Monty - frightened of the quite distant rumblings and looking to find his usual 'fireworks and other scary sky noises' spot under the bed. I got him organised with a clear space (some confusion was caused by Nigel having rearranged his karate stuff) and he slept with his bottom sticking out from under the bed until I woke him up at 8am.
1. Friends coming for Pimms any second now.
2&3 See 1!

Oh and thank you so much for the lovely response to my bee shot!
I love this photo Judith. The repetition, color and framing is just wonderful.

Fabulous capture. Great shot of real life.

I saw the lightning and almost got my camera out but as I was already tucked up in bed I decided against it. Wouldn't like to be the one to sit my bottom in there. I hope they dried out ok xx

You know I love a good punt shot! It's to do with the wood thing....all that lovely car ed wood with the identical lines & curves. Is the name on them the owners........it suits! These will be doing some work at the moment.
Hope the competition went well & Rachel comes home triumphant !
Monty deserved to be on top of the bed I reckon!

these punts make a good pattern shot. Love todays commentary! :-)

@happypat he is not going on top of the bed! He's not even supposed to be under it! Nigel got two seconds but Rachel hasn't got anything this time - the groups are very big and there can be a bit of luck involved especially where there are lots who are quite close in ability - trouble is she'll want to go again now!

@judithg well she loves it....could be doing lots worse my word......she has done so well so encourage her...I know it costs a lot but you can have the reflected glory!

@happypat yes - keeps her out of trouble...

Good to find a different kind of punt shot - well composed. Really scary to hear heavy breathing in the night! My son was here on Friday night and his door kept banging with the window wide open, so I had to stuff a sock under it - then it swung to and fro and I realised it needed some WD40 - but didn't attempt that in the middle of the night!
