2 am call from the dog. After 10 min in the lovely cool night garden I realised I couldn't put him back in his warm crate so he stayed out and slept by the front door. Unfortunately the passing traffic woke him (& then me) a couple of times and then the night was over when Adam got up at 6.15 with a nosebleed and the cat took that as a cue to sit next to my face and miaow insistently. Anyway I took the hint and got up to decorate Rachel's birthday cake. 15 min later I rescued the top of Rachel's cake that had slid off in the fridge. Weary wanderers returned mid morning and the cake was very tasty if not exactly tidy and then I headed out for a very nice girlie lunch. Just been on to the police about a boy racer doing handbrake turns outside the house - don't suppose anything will happen.
Happy birthday to Rachel,Helen said she had a nice time out for lunch, I wish I could have joined you.I love this shot of Monty , it is another hot night hope you get a better nights sleep
Your sleep doesn't sound very worthwhile for you! I hope the boy racer wasn't doing this too early to wake you up! They are doing a lot to fix this problem here. Nice shot of Monty trying to cool his tummy!
Sounds a very disturbed night Judith.......I think we are all worn out with this unusual heat!
Poor animals still with their fur coats on....Lily has taken to sleeping on the floor instead of in her basket although I found a few very suspicious cat hairs on the kitchen table this morning! You will be glad to have the travellers return! Are you going somewhere hot next week.....hotter than the UK!
