Jeepers Creepers

Well I took another ton of useless heron photos today - I can't get close enough though I did catch him mid dive. I also almost had a shot at a kingfisher that dipped into the water, swooped round and landed back in its willow tree. I just had time to catch it on a branch when Rachel yelled at me. Turns out she wanted me to move the dog over for a runner on the path - her priorities are entirely wrong! In other news I am keeping a rather queasy eye on Monty. On the way out along the towpath I ushered him onwards at the site of last week's dead fish encounter - no sign of it - phew. On the way back I relaxed - and he trotted on ahead and when I caught back up with him he was woolfing down an enormous, stinking rotten carcass. Too late to do anything about it but drive home with the windows down, clean his teeth and wait for an assuredly unpleasant outcome one way or another :0( Meanwhile - a goose with scary eyes.
Lovely shot with an incredible reflection. Fav.

Oh no, Monty - like a time bomb waiting to go off. Fortunately ours is a very fussy eater except for when it comes to donkey poo and there's plenty of that round here - fortunately she has only thrown it up (on the carpet) once!

great reflections - and bad news about the fish - my dog used to roll on dead rats, which meant the next few hours were spent washing him to avoid mange - bloody animals

A letterbox judith :) , lovely.
A naughty Monty, I suppose it's a consequence of having one eye through a camera and another on Monty !

I love the shape of the duck's head and the shape the head and its reflection make. Sometimes I'm glad I don't have a dog ...
