I drove past Fitzbillies at night recently and it looked just beautiful. In fact if I get chance I will take another photo when the inside lights are off. But today I found myself outside with the right lens on the camera and a conveniently texting addition. I must remember to get Monty out in the mornings instead of close to tea time - my shoulder is aching from having to constantly pull him away from any old rubbish on the pavement.
Three good things:
1. I am on laundry strike for Adam until he puts things in the laundry bin in his room instead of on the floor. The ironing was done in no time - I've piled all his stuff un-ironed on his bed!
2. Yesterday's Big Issue lady was delighted with her photo.
3. I sent my first tweet with the photo on and Big Issue retweeted it. Feeling very 21st Century.
Such a wonderful name.....Fitzbillies...it rolls off the tongue beautufully! A fantastic shop too.....the writing on the shop front reminds me of Bruciannis somehow....must be the lettering! Adam might not care if his stuff is ironed & you will be embarrassed seing him go out looking like a tramp so you will give in...worse thing is Adam & you both know this!
A great festive shot of this famous place. Am very interested that in two of my three adult children's households ironing is only undertaken on rare occasions. Mostly clothes are dried on clothes horses or outside and then stuffed in drawers. My son-in-law does iron a work shirt each morning though!
What a lovely shot.....so old world and festive, and you are right, the addition of the 21st century texting person outside that establishment just gives this photo that extra edge! Big Congrats on the Big Issue!
this is brilliant judith , love the light and the addition of the lady texting (she could be browsing you know , looks more a brwosing stance ) FAVE FAVE FAVE
@happypat that's true but dirty washing has been put in laundry basket this morning and he ironed his uniform. So one day of success even if it doesn't last (which it won't). I just don't understand when there is a bucket (stylish grey felt TKMaxx job) IN THE ROOM why you would drop things on the floor next to it.
@judithg well & I am checking here that it's your post I am commenting on...Alex who arrives next Tuesday is the biggest dropper of clothes on the floor you ever saw & her bedrooms are always a tip .......her mother despairs of her. Her twin brother on the other hand is tidiness itself! Success this morning then....keep it up at your end!
