My friend asked me to decorate a plate ~ to include the names of all the children and grandchildren. Each child and grandchild wrote something special about their mother/grandmother, and all those comments were included. She loved it.
@Weezilou YOU are so sweet. This is a dollar tree plate. I used a sharpie to write and print the words and names. Skilled artist? That's high praise. I am only a retired teacher who mastered the art of manuscript and cursive lettering. Thank you so much for your lovely comment.
@judyc57 Well, Judy, you've put a big smile on my face for your kind words! *However*, having spent two years taking a college calligraphy course, I know I sweated blood over my projects! I can't accept the cast aside comment about *only* being a retired teacher because *mastering* the art of manuscript and cursive lettering in my book is high accomplishment! AND...because of my courses, I know it's no easy task to make all that lettering fill the plate and come out even! Take your bow! That's just wonderful!
