Birds on a Fence

Someone help me out -- what kind of birds?
Sorry can't help with the name of this bird. The shot is great though!!

I'm not sure either. The beaks suggest that they eat hard shelled nuts, shellfish, or are in the sapsucker family. If it is near ocean water I would think possibly in the Sandpiper family otherwise possibly in the same family as a nuthatch...although these definately are not nuthatches themselves. It appears pretty green here, so the speckles could indicate that they are immature.

@debrac I am not anywhere near an ocean . . . these birds are in Illinois. Does that help?

@debrac Someone suggested that this may be a starling - and after looking it up I believe it is a young starling. Thanks for your help
