Waxwing

My first shot of this bird which I believe is a Cedar Waxwing - this one does not have red on the wings although others that I saw did - but this is the best I have for now.

Wow! It looks like a Cardinal. If you didn't see that yellow on it's tail, I'd have though it was a female cardinal. Fabulous!

The Waxwing resembles our Cardinal. both are beautiful birds. in fact I posted 3 pictures of birds today..one is a cardinal male. fav,.we don't have waxwings here.

@bruni @homeschoolmom So I guess a waxwing does look like a female cardinal in some areas . . . they are beautiful birds. I am slowly learning the names of the birds and also their songs/sounds. First I photograph them - then I research them. Thanks for the nice comments.

Beautiful! The group of thirty or so were here again today. I think they must have all the apples cleaned out. I'll be surprised if I see them come back.
