Starling?

This is what I think is a Starling . . . perhaps my 365 bird experts can help me confirm that . . . but even more exciting for me is that this shot is SOOC - no edits, crops, tweaks -nothing! AND it was my first picture of the day (of course there were 109 that followed it . . . :)

Yes, I looked it up and it's a European Starling. Beautiful detail on his fathers. Gorgeous capture!

@markp Thanks for the info - wondered about the beak - most of them that I see don't have yellow beaks - that explains it.

Definitely a starling. Such colourful iridescent plumage. Are you in the UK? Lovely shot btw.

Great capture. Starlings are so much prettier, on close inspection, than you imagine aren't they. They are great mimics, too. One used to sit on a neighbour's TV aerial and imitate the sound of their very loud phone :-)
