Fifty-eight years on this planet. This is my first birthday without my Mom, I'm in the middle of a soul-killing zoom meeting, and I have parent-teacher conferences this afternoon. Trying to get through this day without losing it.

Happy birthday Julie. My mum died in 2017 and even though we had been losing her gradually to Alzheimer over the last 8 years or so there were lots of "first time without" moments that first year. It never goes away completely but it gets easier.
