Not looking too good today. As you can see the Parrett has burst it's banks in a few places flooding the moor between Langport and Muchelney. This isn't unusual at this time of year, and the Somerset levels are a natural storage area for excess water, preventing flooding of villages and homes. Just spare a thought for people living in the Muchelney area, some of whom have only just got their homes back into order after last winter's floods. Everyone is understandably anxious ....watching, waiting, hoping and praying that the floodplains cope with this winter's storms.
