Hawthorn smothered in Mistletoe by julienne1

Hawthorn smothered in Mistletoe

Another beautiful sunny day in Eastfield nature reserve at High Ham. There were quite a few butterflies - mostly Peacock. This gnarled old hawthorn tree seems to be more mistletoe than hawthorn - but the birds seem to be making short work of the berries.
I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, I could reach some of that mistletoe!

That tree has character. Geese are 'resident' as long as the water is open but only a few really live here. They are on their way....
