This poor tree is almost obliterated by the ivy growing up its trunk. Despite that, it can't be doing that much harm because judging by the size of the Ivy trunk, the two must have been growing up together for many, many years! Looking at it I can't help thinking that it looks like some sort of sinister monster climbing the tree.
