Deerleap

A bit hazy today unfortunately so not so good a view as usual. Taken from a viewpoint on the Mendip Hills above Wells in Somerset, looking out over Wookey, and across the Vale of Avalon to Glastonbury Tor in the distance. On a clear day you can see the Severn Estuary, the islands of Steepholm and Flatholm, and the coast of Wales in the distance. You also get a good view of Hinkley Point Nuclear Power Station looking suitably sinister!
Beautiful scene shot, Julienne!

Beautiful landscape. Shot looks really good to me, even with the haze

Wow! England does greens, like Australian does blues, gorgeous capture. I will try to get a killer blue sky for you one day!

I rather like the misty-ness, adds depth I thin. :-)

@susanalena @rickster549 @yeshanghai @tillystartedit @shirleybankfarm @leestevo @bluerose15 @gijsje @copperband @365projectorgchristinewebb - Thanks for your comments and favs. This is a favourite stop off point after a visit to the Victoria Inn at Priddy for lunch :) It's always good to take in the view in all its moods.

@katrinastabback - Yes there is a lot of green, especially now when the leaves are all new. I shall look forward to a "killer" blue sky from you soon! We get lovely blue skies in good weather but rarely the depth of intensity you get.

@jomo - Deeleap is a good place for a walk across the top of the Mendip Hills and the views are lovely. For the more adventurous (crazy?) there are also good pot-holing opportunities, but that's not for me!
