A bit hazy today unfortunately so not so good a view as usual. Taken from a viewpoint on the Mendip Hills above Wells in Somerset, looking out over Wookey, and across the Vale of Avalon to Glastonbury Tor in the distance. On a clear day you can see the Severn Estuary, the islands of Steepholm and Flatholm, and the coast of Wales in the distance. You also get a good view of Hinkley Point Nuclear Power Station looking suitably sinister!
@katrinastabback - Yes there is a lot of green, especially now when the leaves are all new. I shall look forward to a "killer" blue sky from you soon! We get lovely blue skies in good weather but rarely the depth of intensity you get.
@jomo - Deeleap is a good place for a walk across the top of the Mendip Hills and the views are lovely. For the more adventurous (crazy?) there are also good pot-holing opportunities, but that's not for me!
