...This time in Russia. This is in the Church on the Spilled Blood in St Petersburg, so named because it was built on the site where Empower Alexander II was killed in 1881. The whole interior is covered in mosaic and was constructed between 1883-1907. It miraculously survived destruction when a shell fell on the ornate domed roof but didn't explode!
