@peterday - certainly does. It seems a shame that after the bad flooding 2 years ago so many people only associate the Levels with disastrous floods! It was only a relatively small area (though in those areas it was devastating) and the Levels are "meant" to flood to catch heavy rainfall and store it so that the slow-flowing River Parrett can have more time to send it off into the Severn Estuary.
