Bark beetle tracks by julienne1

Bark beetle tracks

These tracks are made by the beetles underneath the bark and become easily visible on dead trees. I'm intrigued by the radiating patterns they make. Some experts say they aren't an enormous problem because they tend to attack dead or dying trees and assist with the natural rotting process. I'm intrigued by the radiating patterns they make.

Great find and capture. I looks like the impression of a butterflies body and wings.
