Glow-worm larva - Lampyris noctiluca

I was so pleased to see this little chap hiding under a log today! I hardly ever see glow worms nowadays but we do get a few sightings of adult females glowing here on summer nights. They are such a rare and beautiful sight glowing luminous green in the hedgerows. I hope this one makes it to adulthood to add to their diminishing numbers
Wow looks alien

One of my life ambitions to see a glow worm, glowing...you are lucky to have them no matter how few. The lava makes an interesting pic.
