Waiting for the starlings

A birdwatcher all set up with the tripod poised to greet the starlings coming in to roost in the reed beds at Ham Wall RSPB reserve

@rickster549 no they came in very soon after I took this. There are enormous flocks so it takes about 30 mins for them all to fly in sndpe settle

Love how serene this looks. I cannot imagine what it must have been like with that many birds landing.
