Wolf's Milk

This might look like a fungus but it's actually a type of slime mould - Lycogala epidendrum - which is an amoeba-like organism. Each of these little bubbles is less than a centimetre in diameter, soft and filled with fluid which gradually becomes a mass of spores. Slime moulds are fascinating organisms and take all sorts of weird and wonderful forms
very interesting.
