Jersey Tiger - Euplagia quadripunctaria by julienne1

Jersey Tiger - Euplagia quadripunctaria

This Jersey Tiger moth was enjoying the buddleia blossom along with a host of other butterflies today. It's amazing how many there were. I enjoyed watching its long proboscis flick in and out feasting on the nectar. It is so named because they used to be mainly confined to the Channel Islands but in recent years it seems to be venturing further and further northwards in the UK.
Great capture

We have had so many butterflies today, maybe its because I have more flowers to attract them this year, but it's lovely to see. This is a fab shot, I don't think I've seen it before.
