Nettle-tap moth

There were lots of micro-moths flying today over the Levels enjoying the plentiful buttercups
Buttercups seem to be putting on a great show this spring, maybe it was the cold snap in March? I love these tiny moths, such delicate subtle colouring on their wings. (P.S. I used to live in Merriott in the 1960s ..)

@lyonesselady yes the buttercups are certainly prolific this year! I don't suppose Merriott will have changed so much as many other places in the last 50 years .... Somerset is a different time zone!

We had masses of buttercups on the flood plain this year. There seemed to be even more than usual. Lovely capture

So pretty. It seems so dainty! It really stands out against the yellow of the flower.

You've done well to catch one of these. They've been flying around here but not landing. Looks great on the buttercup.
